GDG DevFests are large, community-run developer events happening around the globe focused on community building and learning about Google’s technologies.
GDGs are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; from Android, Chrome. Drive and Google Cloud platforms to product APIs like the Cast API, Maps API and YouTube API.
This year the GDG communities in and around Kampala will hold DevFest 2020 alongside other developer communities and Industry players to experience sessions on Cloud, Machine Learning, Mobile and Web technologies.
The overall objective of the event:
Equipping participants with different skills and knowledge required for them to compete in the industry and run successful technology companies.
Introducing and showcasing products and equipping organisations and institutions with the required skills to use the products.
