GDG Cloud Edmonton is hosting an Android 11 meetup with Android Google Developer Experts Etienne Caron and Nav Singh.

Etienne will give a hands-on tutorial on Android Compose! Jetpack Compose is Google's next-generation native UI toolkit for Android. Taking inspiration from modern Reactive UI frameworks found on the web, Compose promises to empower developers with a more efficient way to build UIs, programmatically.

With the Android 11 beta launch, Compose is now in developer preview. Let's explore how to build a UI with Compose, and all the shiny new Android Studio tools that come with it. We will also explore the new app rating API that lets you streamline the rating process.
