DevFests are local tech conferences hosted by Google Developer Groups (GDGs) around the world. They feature talks, hands-on demos, workshops, and codelabs on the latest Google tech. DevFest is the premiere local event for developers to learn about Google’s latest technologies from Googlers, Google Developer Experts and speakers from the industry.

About this event

DevFests are local tech conferences hosted by Google Developer Groups (GDG) around the world 🌎 . Each DevFest event is crafted by its local organizers to fit the needs and interests of its local developer community. Whether it be through hands-on learning experiences, technical talks delivered in local languages by experts, or by simply meeting fellow local developers, DevFest attendees learn how to build together and innovate on Google's developer tools.


What to expect at Devfest Edmonton 2023?

This year we are featuring two tracks :

  • Web Dev & Cloud 🧑‍💻

Talks and insights on the latest developments in AI/ML, Web Dev, Cloud applied with Google Technologies and Career Advancenment. Stay tuned for upcoming Speaker Announcements!! 

Networking

Meet and connect with other developers in the local industry and with the younger Google Developers Students Club.


How to get to Devfest 🧍

🚌 Public Transit

The most convenient ETS to take is the LRT and hop off in University Station. Then you take the ladder that will take you to the HUB Mall. Once you get to the Hub Mall, walk all way north the mall until you can exit at Door 9200 or the pedway to Business & Marshall Tory Building and Cross the Chancellor’s Walk to the Alberta School of Business Building. You should be able to find volunteers to guide you to the check-in station and help you to checking in to the event.

Parking

The nearest Parking lots to the Alberta School of Business or the Tory Marshall Building are

Lot N

From Lot N you can walk to Hub Mall HUB Mall. Once you get to the Hub Mall, walk all way north the mall until you can exit at Door 9200 or the pedway to Business & Marshall Tory Building and Cross the Chancellor’s Walk to the Alberta School of Business Building. You should be able to find volunteers to guide you to the check-in station and help you to checking in to the event.

Lot E

From Lot E you need to walk towards South East. The Alberta School of Business Building or Henry Marshall Tory Building is East from the Paleontology Museum. You should be able to find volunteers to guide you to the check-in station and help you to checking in to the event.
