We're kicking off our 2021 events with a career empowerment talk hosted by our local Women Tehcmakers. Kiley Carson and Sherry Yang are introducing Lauren Hasson to Calgary and the wider communities. In this hybrid event, we are inviting our local and remote community members to join us at a theatre to view a live presentation from Lauren Hasson along with a movie screening.

Learn to Build Your Value + Become an Asset in Your Tech Career

Far too many of our best and brightest women in tech work as hard as they can to advance their careers without really understanding how important it is to build their value and communicate their worth. It’s time to teach these women how to work smarter, not just harder, to become more effective and invaluable to the companies they work with.

Lauren shares her personal story of going from zero network, zero skills, and zero job prospects to becoming a highly valued, top engineer with global connections in just two short years. Women will come away with steps they can take to immediately start building their value and become an asset at work and in their own tech careers.

In-person Experience - Landmark Cinemas 5 Calgary Market Mall

Doors open at 4:30pm MST and you will receive a popcorn and a movie voucher 🍿 🎥 Please note, the venue door will close at 5pm MST to start the presentation. We are in Theatre 4. After the presentation, the live Q&A will be in progress with the virtual attendees. An array of swags 🤩 will be given out during this time. Please allow the organizers to get to you for us to relay the question to Lauren.

Virtual Experience - Bevy Virtual

The virtual room will be open at 4:30pm MST and you will be able to connect with other attendees using the chat feature. Please share where you're joining from and what you're currently working on with others. During the presentation, your questions will be collected for the live Q&A time. If you'd like to ask your question on camera, we will invite you to the virtual stage with Lauren.

Networking

This is a hybrid event, we encourage people locally and remotely to join us. Since handshakes are limited, we ask you to join our Slack group to further connect with each other. On the day of the event, the online platform will be live to take your questions.
