Summary

There is a gap between running simple endpoints in Cloud Functions and full blown services in Google Kubernetes Engine. What if there was a service to fill this gap? There is! GCP's new Cloud Run serverless offering lets you launch a Docker container as a web service wit a single gcloud or console command. We'll learn about Cloud Run and work through Qwiklabs showcasing these features.

This is a SPECIAL EVENT. What makes it special? There will be an optional athletic component, a 3K (2 mile) fun run! Cloud Run and a Fun Run 😄.

Notes:
- bring a laptop to participate in the Qwiklab study jam
- running in the event is optional, you may hangout otherwise
- runners should bring comfortable running attire
- food will be *after* the run, rather than at the start of the event
- we'll watch your belongs back at the secure venue while you run
- you can change clothes at the venue before/after the run
