What's in a Name: GDG Cloud Boston

A lot has happened since Lukas & Joe attended the Google Cloud Community Conference. Joe will discuss the changes over the last month for the erstwhile Boston Google Cloud Meetup. We'll recap the new meetup name, new communications tools for the meetup, results from last month's meetup member survey, and the direction for 2018.

Joe (@lustcoder) is an engineer @ Boston based mabl

Topic 1:

Efficiency through Interactive GCP Commandline Tools

Lukas Karlsson will discuss and demonstrate the new features of the gcloud interactive shell and how to setup and use these, and other recent enhancements to the GCP tool for greater productivity. These improvements touch many tools such as gcloud, gsutil, bq, and kubectl.

Lukas Karlsson is the Cloud Architect and Developer Advocate at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where has been supporting scientific research for the last 14 years. Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard was launched in 2004 to improve human health by using genomics to advance our understanding of the biology and treatment of human disease, and to help lay the groundwork for a new generation of therapies.
