Cloud Build - Beyond CICD (Graham Polley)

Graham has been working on the GCP stack for almost a decade, before it was cool. A software engineer by trade, he's been at the forefront of building several successful GCP practices for companies and is currently Head of Technology & Delivery for Zencore in EMEA. Graham is well known in the cloud industry for calling things as he sees them.

In this talk, you won't see any fancy slides with beautiful animations or diagrams. Instead, it will be mostly a demo of how Cloud Build is so much more than a CICD tool.

Growing a Data Platform on GCP (Pawel Wiszniewski)

Pawel is a senior data engineer at Flink, a tech veteran and an avid board gamer. He was the second member of the data engineering team and played an instrumental role in growing out the platform to support many dozens of dashboards, ML models and analyst queries.

In this talk, Pawel will give us an overview of how Flink grew its GCP data platform from the ground up with a small team - on BigQuery, Composer and dbt. He'll cover some advantages and pitfalls of the tools and some learnings while scaling the team and platform.
