Talk Abstract:

Multiple well-known tools like Docker and Kubernetes are written in Go. Companies large and small have embraced Go and many enterprise projects and tools are being written or migrated to Go. It is also shining in building command-line tools for multiple platforms. What is the raison d'etre of Go? Who created it? Why? To solve what problems? What was that journey? In this talk, we cover the history, people, and technologies that came together to create Go.
