Starting and Leading a Tech Organization
Hannah Mae Hormiguera is a strong believer in passion, commitment, and purpose to serve. With that, during her Junior High School years, she has been awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award for all the organizations that she served and in her Senior High School years she was awarded the Excellence - Kahamili Senior High School Student Leadership Award 2019. With her course in Information Technology, she is an avid fan of StartUps where people create solutions for the betterment of the community. Her main advocacy is empowering others to be better versions of themselves and better citizens of the community. Together with her team, they implemented Solutions Week which encourages students to develop a solution using technologies that Google currently provides, and recently these solutions were submitted to Google Developers. She spearheaded several training events where the attendees are now present leaders of their community.

Lightning Talk: Getting Ready as a GDSC Lead with Zero Leadership Experience from the Start
I'm Christian Paul Flores, a 3rd year. I.T student at STI College Cagayan de Oro. A former GDSC Lead and the current mentor of the GDSC STI College CDO. I'm currently involved in a startup company. One of the Ambassadors at the STI CDO CSG council. I'm also working with my team, called SL Devs, to develop a waste management application under the CLENRO Office for the city of Cagayan de Oro. Also, I'm undergoing my training for the GitHub Campus Expert Program to further help my community learn industry-valued tech-related skills. I'm passionate about web technologies, currently struggling to learn Javascript. When I want to rest, I meditate, play Dota 2 with my friends, and practice playing guitar.
I will share my experiences of getting ready for the GDSC application process as someone with no prior leadership experience. Also, sharing what I learned during the program, the collaboration with GDSC chapters, and connection with like-minded peers. And the next step after your GDSC journey.

I was exposed to technology at the early age of 3. I often see my father working on systems and fixing hardware.
