The DevFest Buea 2021 event is a two-day-long series of activities aiming at re-engaging and reviving our community after the ~2 years pandemic. 

GDG Buea community will be bring to the audience a set of talks, code labs and demo sessions with the aim of rejuvenating the energy of community members and getting them ready for the technologies involved in giving everyone an idea or a sense of belonging and exposing the numerous opportunities at Google for everyone to select and take advantage of including but not limited to Google's technologies such as Firebase, Cloud And Tensorflow and use them to build a learning management Progressive Web App utilizing Firebase Cloud and Offline-first functions. We intend to encourage the use of Cloud technologies by using Google Cloud Platform to deploy a recently developed app during the 24-hour series at Mt Cameroon Ecotourism Hall, Touborg Junction  Buea on Friday, January 14th 2021 and promote gender diversity as well as learn from panel discussions on community member's Open Source Experiences. 

Since Open Source development coupled with Google’s technologies has been a huge factor in the success of our tech ecosystem so far, we will be making an endeavour to push more in this direction as the possibilities of growth are endless and every community member can make a commitment.
