Hash Code is a team programming competition, organized by Google, for students and professionals around the world. You pick your team and programming language and we pick an engineering problem for you to solve. 

This year’s contest kicks off with a Qualification Round on February 24, where your team can compete virtually from wherever you’d like, alongside your virtual Hub. Top teams will then be invited to compete from our virtual World Finals.

This year we are going to organize 4 Hungarian Google Developer Hubs at 4 locations (Budapest, Pécs, Debrecen) for attendees to participate HashCode together.

Hubs are organized in collaboration with KSZK and the Google Developer Student Clubs at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), University of Pécs (PTE), University of Debrecen (Unideb).

How it works

1) Attendees need to register a profile at the Hash Code page, so that they can attend Hash Code.

2) Attendees need to form or join a team, as it is a team programming competition.

3) Attendees can freely join a hub (from the hub list) if they would like to compete at a hub. 

During the Qualification Round, we will watch the Hash Code live stream together on Youtube, where the problem will be introduced.

Your team will have four hours to solve an optimization problem using the programming language and tools of your choice. 

Teams can compete alongside other teams by joining a virtual Hub. You are welcome to join one of the 4 Hungarian Google Developer Hubs.

The top teams from the Qualification Round will be invited to the virtual World Finals, where they’ll work together to solve another challenge and compete for cash prizes.
