Generative AI is on everybody's mind these days. This talk will introduce Gemini, Google's most powerful LLM to date. I will explore its capabilities in understanding and responding to complex information, and provide tips on how we as users and developers can improve our interactions with Gemini and other models.

To demonstrate the technical steps required to integrate Generative AI into a product I introduce the WineSnob, a small Flutter app that uses the power of AI to assist with the hard task of sipping wine.

This talk is suited for beginner and intermediate developers of any field. I will show some Flutter/Dart code but won't require a deeper understanding of these technologies.

About the speaker: 

Sylvia is a senior software engineer and/or engineering manager. Her preferred role includes some IT management but also enough hands-on development work to keep her dev skills sharp. Her main interest lies in exploring new technologies in the space of mobile apps and web technologies. She is currently playing with Flutter, Firebase, and different web frameworks but might change focus as new technologies pop up.
