About this event

The Boston Android community is gathering to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD), Women Techmakers’ largest annual celebration of diversity in. the community. You can join our intimate in person gathering in Copley Square or the online stream. Our goal is to create connections, educate and inspire diversity with the mission of building a world where all women, all people can live and thrive as professionals in technology.
We will serve up some wisdom with Italian food that pairs well with the two sessions on the agenda.

This talk explores how data, storytelling, and meaningful collaboration can shape influence—from managing sales pipelines to launching outreach campaigns that build trust at scale. As a Google Women Techmakers Ambassador, Reen helped lead an International Women’s Day campaign that reached over 1 million people, earning a personal comment from Google. But behind that moment were weeks of collaboration, analytics, and connection—values she believes more women deserve to be recognized for. Along her journey, Reen has been gratefully recommended by leaders at Google, Meta, Harvard, MIT, and Oxford, and now uses that network to help others rise.
10:30 PM	Marianne Ray	The tech industry offers exciting opportunities but can feel intimidating, especially for recent graduates, career changers, or those navigating transitions at work. In this session, Marianne shares her journey from geologist to becoming a Staff Engineer and Tech Lead, to illustrate how diverse backgrounds and unconventional paths can lead to success. Attendees will learn how to build momentum through stepping-stone roles, harness the power of networking, and leverage their unique strengths to achieve career goals. Marianne will also demystify the job search process with practical resume and job application tips.
