I’m excited to announce that Boston Android is going to once again host Study Jams for our chapter. This event series is for people with programming experience who are interested in learning the Kotlin programming language for Android app development. It helps to have the support of a study group.
Starting on September 20th, we host 90 minute weekly sessions to learn the essentials of the Kotlin programming language and the fundamentals of how to build Android apps in Kotlin. This first session is about ramping up on the Kotlin programming language. It will cover syntax and basic language features. Start your journey into Android development with a curriculum created by Google.
All you need is a computer. You can check the system requirements and get Android Studio installed. Having an Android device is not required. You can use the emulator or run your apps on your device.
The program lasts 4 weeks. Your knowledge will build on itself week over week. The last session will give you an opportunity to show your work and demo to your friends in the group. It a great time to start on Android development. We hope to see you soon! ✌🏻
