From scondoo API to scondoo Cloud Endpoints
For nearly 4 years we built and used our own API. It was running on Google Cloud Platform. Each time we needed a new endpoint we built it, repeating all the steps you do. There were a lot of special cases, outdated authentication, "code we better not touch" and performance was nothing we were proud of. Then we got to know Cloud Endpoints. So we decided to give it a try. Now we want to share some experience.
Sebastian Kurt, scondoo Co-Founder & CTO/CPO#berlin #triathlon #internet
Studied computer science in Berlin, working in Internet companies for over 10 years. Believes in agile concepts even for small teams. Does sport because there he finds the best ideas.
Networking with Google Cloud Platform
In this session, we discuss cloud networking best practices for securing traditional and cloud-native workloads on Google Cloud Platform. We start with the fundamental building blocks including subnetworks, routing and distributed firewall. We then talk about how to share subnetworks between different projects, integrate with Google APIs, load balance your services and integrate your Virtual Network with 3rd party appliances.
Jens Kuehlers, Solutions Architect for Google Cloud Platform
Jens is a Cloud Solutions Architect, building solutions for customers to allow them to scale their virtual networks and infrastructure efficiently. Jens has 9 years of experience working in Google. He started as a Network Engineer working on Google's global production infrastructure and spent 2 years on Infrastructure projects in Emerging Markets at Google Ghana. Before working for Google, Jens worked in technical teams at the United Nations and a German ISP.
