Women Techmakers is Google's global program and brand for women in technology. Every year, in celebration of International Women's Day, WomenTechmakers chapters across the globe host talks, conferences, and workshops to raise awareness of innovative female leaders in technology and inspire others to join the field.

This year, GDG & WTM Belfast have joined other chapters from across the UK and Ireland to host an online UK&I International Women’s Day summit on Saturday March 20th. 

The theme for 2021 is #CouragetoCreate. This is based on the incredible strength and power women have shown in the face of adversity. We recognize that there were tremendous challenges over the past year, especially for women, from dealing with COVID to broader issues of racial justice and human rights. But we remain hopeful about the future and the belief that together our community can create positive change throughout the world.
