Don't miss out on our next event taking place in Puppet on October 2nd!

Together with our friends at WTM Belfast we are delighted to welcome Emma Haruka Iwao, Gillian Armstrong and Deepa Mann-Kler who will each share with us their journey, achievements and learnings along the way.

Emma Haruka Iwao is Japanese computer scientist and cloud developer advocate at Google who recently calculated the world's most accurate value of pi (π); which included 31.4 trillion digits, exceeding the previous record of 22 trillion. Calculating Pi has been Emma's childhood dream and her talk will explain how the small dream grew to the new world record and will also cover a brief history of Pi computation, the nature of the calculation, the architecture and challenges.

Gillian Armstrong is an experienced full-stack developer, currently helping teams at Liberty IT explore and adopt Cognitive Technologies. Gillian frequently speaks at conferences and blogs about technology, especially around the topics of Cloud and AI. Gillian's talk will cover her journey into Cloud, Serverless and Applied AI and the implications on development and user experience.

Deepa Mann-Kler is an award winning visual artist; CEO of Neon a health technology company; Visiting Professor In Immersive Futures with Ulster University and serves as a non-executive director. As a thought leader she speaks at conferences on the intersection of creativity, technology, innovation, diversity, health, wellbeing and storytelling.
