Do women have a different approach to tech?

Las Tecnologistas #Co-create Hackdays are a safe space for women+ in tech to ideate, concept and develop together in collaboration. We bring together a diversity of perspectives and skills and collaboratively develop tech solutions to community problems. Activities are guided by experienced facilitators and volunteers using brainstorm and decision making methods from agile & lean thinking. Similar to hackathons, we work on specific projects or themes in a low-pressure and creative environment.

Who is it for

The #Co-create Hackday is for creative problem solvers, engineers, mobile developers, data specialists, digital designers, product people, and beyond. You get to practise and learn with others in a low-pressure and safe environment whilst tapping into the collective mind of a diverse group of women+ creating impact for the community.

I am a man, can I join?

Absolutely! Las Tecnologistas promotes diversity and inclusion, and all participants are encouraged to tap into their feminine energy of active listening, innovative co-creation and collaboration.

Organisational

We will be indoors, at 42barcelona, carrer d'Albert Einstein, 08042 Barcelona (entrance through a small metal door).

Please bring your own laptop but don't worry if you don't have one. Wi-Fi will be available.

The organisers will provide 'brain food', water & coffee, and lunch (Pizza). If you prefer, you can bring your own lunch.

The organisers intention is to create a safe and comfortable environment for all. All participants have the same right to be at their best. Discriminatory, disempowering or otherwise inappropriate comments or behaviour will NOT be tolerated.
