GDG Auckland, in collaboration with Cocoaheads Auckland, Auckland Android Community, and The Auckland iOS Meetup, is excited to announce the first of a series of events from Westpac, who are currently undergoing a technology transformation in rebuilding their mobile app using native Android and iOS frameworks backed by a shared Kotlin Multiplatform foundation.

The Westpac Leadership team will kick things off by providing an overview of Westpac and its current engineering roadmap and opportunities. The introduction will be given by Annie Vella, Distinguished Engineer @Westpac and lifelong computer enthusiast with two decades of experience in software engineering and technical leadership along with Peter Fonseka, Craft Specialist, Mobile @Westpac and Kanika Rakheja, Lead Engineer, Mobile @Westpac.

The Westpac Mobile team will then discuss Moktor, an in-house mocking framework written in Kotlin Multiplatform. It can be run on a developer's local machine or embedded into the Android or iOS app itself. These mocks can be used for automation tests or day-to-day development.

Josh Gross is a Lead Android Engineer with 7 years of experience in mobile development and a background in front-end web development before that. He's worked on large complex projects with multiple teams and excels at mentoring and leadership.

Hayden Do is a Lead iOS Engineer with an interest in user experience design. He has worked with many teams across a number of industries building unique mobile app experiences.
