About this event

GDG Atlanta Members, we are happy to announce that we are joining our friends at WWC Atlanta for this months meeting, at General Assembly. The fantastic Whitley Talmadge will be our speaker for this special event.

"Let's see how Google Cloud makes application development easier, faster, more innovative, and more powerful by understanding the highlights of Kubernetes Engine, Knative, Istio, Cloud Functions, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, and Firebase. We will take a look at the different data storage options that can go with your applications, then see how to set up a CI/CD pipeline in Google Cloud, and examine Stackdriver logging and monitoring for our app."

About our speaker
Whitley is a Customer Engineer for Google Cloud based in Atlanta, where she helps current and future Google Cloud customers get started with Google or continue to grow. She specializes in all things serverless and app dev (anything to stay close to writing code) and is a developer at heart, having been a software engineer for several years prior to joining Google. She enjoys running, reading, eating, and JavaScript.

From https://developers.google.com/groups/ ::

"Google Developer Groups (GDGs) are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android, Chrome, Drive, and Google Cloud platforms, to product APIs like the Cast API, Maps API, and YouTube API. A GDG can take many forms -- from just a few people getting together to watch our latest video, to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to events like code sprints and hackathons. However, at the core, GDGs are focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience should be developers."
