About this event

Join us this month for an Idea Jam! This is an informal meeting where we're going to brainstorm as a community what kind of talks, workshops, and civic hacking projects that you want to see on our 2018 event calendar!

Bring your ideas about what you'd like to learn as well as any resources that you think would be valuable for our meetup community, like local speakers or workshop leaders that specialize in a Google developer platform and sponsors.

GDG Atlanta really wants to understand and offer programming that directly benefits our audience, so this is the time to let us know what you'd like to learn! We can also think about fun networking and other social opportunities that GDG Atlanta can organize in the future.

We will be meeting at TechSquare Labs, which is located on Spring Street near Georgia Tech's Tech Square. If you have any questions, please email [masked] for more information.

Our monthly meetups are FREE and open to the public. We feature talks, workshops, open discussions, and more that focus on development strategies relating to Google developer products. We welcome developers from the community to host talks or workshops with our group. If you're interested in co-hosting programming related to Google product development, contact us at [masked]

Typical meetup format :
6:30 - Networking
7:00 - Main talk
8:00 - Open discussion
8:45 - Wrap up

From https://developers.google.com/groups/:

"Google Developer Groups (GDGs) are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android, Chrome, Drive, and Google Cloud platforms, to product APIs like the Cast API, Maps API, and YouTube API. A GDG can take many forms -- from just a few people getting together to watch our latest video, to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to events like code sprints and hackathons. However, at the core, GDGs are focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience should be developers."
