About this event

In a (belated) celebration of International Women's Day 2019, we will host a screening of Code: Debugging the Gender Gap along with some discussions from our local Tech-Inclusive (https://www.meetup.com/Tech-Inclusive/) community.

We'll kick the event off with pizza and networking, and start the movie at 7pm with some popcorn. We hope you'll join us as we try to learn more about this important issue.

This documentary exposes the dearth of American female and minority software engineers and explores the reasons for this gender gap and digital divide. The film highlights breakthrough efforts that are producing more diverse programmers and shows how this critical gap can be closed. CODE asks: what would society gain from having more women and minorities code and how do we get there?
