This month Todd DeLand starts a multi-part series of presentations on building a geo-location based chat app. The series starts with a basic Firebase realtime chat demo, and builds upon it in subsequent presentations to integrate location based filtering, maps, and notifications. Feel free to bring your laptop and code along with Todd! By the end of the first night, the group will have built a basic chat app together. Food will be provided by Arbormoon Software at 6:30, with the presentation starting at 7:00. About the presenter Todd DeLand is a software engineer, and father from Ann Arbor. He works at Above the Treeline primarily using .NET, and in his spare time on various Android projects. He enjoys keeping up on technology and finding ways to integrate it with daily life.
