Dr. Andrea Frome earned her Ph.D. at UC Berkeley for work applying Machine Learning to Computer Vision problems. She worked at Google for almost eight years as a software engineer and leader on projects including Street View and Google Brain. After a few years away from Google, she returned to the company for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the team starting the first Google AI office in Africa hear in Accra. She's excited for this opportunity to talk with members of the community about her research and engineering work and many other topics before her assignment ends and she leaves Ghana in early August.
