Speaker's Bio: Emmanuel Djaba
I am that guy who would spend hours trying to figure out why a piece of code doesn't work. More importantly, I am also the kind of person who would spend the same amount amount of time or even more to figure out why it works.
Understanding how things work and then teaching others has always been my passion. From my early days as a software developer - were I focused on using C# and PHP to develop web and desktop applications - to my current role teaching undergraduate students at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. Along the way, I have explored web development in python, wireless network simulation with C++ and data visualization with python and PowerBI.
As I have become more mature, my focus has began to shift from mere understanding and use of technological tools to the contexts in which they can be deployed for maximum impact. Therefore, I am currently interested in answering questions on how businesses can capitalize on data science as an organizational asset. More specifically, I am interested in establishing the business case for data science in organizations.
My aim is to contribute to the discourse on data science through academic research, public engagement and training. Reach out if you want to have a chat about any of the above.
