Finally everything aligned so we can now officially announce our next GDG Aarhus / Android Aarhus meetup!

In this installment we will focus on one of the most important factors for the eventual success of any app: the user experience.

Our featured speaker is Janne Jul Jensen. She is Senior UX Architect with LEGO and a frequent speaker on UX at international software conferences such as DroidCon. For more than a decade she has worked in academia and the software industry as an expert in usability, human-computer interaction and interaction design - including 5 years with Trifork where she designed apps for companies such as Danske Bank, Bilka and DSB.

She will give an interactive talk on some core concepts in usability and UX that will enable you to create better and more intuitive apps for your users. The talk is titled:

"Tapping into the Mind of the User"

Abstract:

"More than ever, today's users are expecting a great and smooth user experience from their apps - and creating intuitive user interfaces has become an essential skill for successful development teams. Design guidelines helps a lot, but what exactly makes some apps super easy to use while others leave the users puzzled or frustrated?

In this talk Janne Jul Jensen will take us inside the mind of the user to explain why some things are just so darn hard for users She will explain how we can make apps with user interfaces that “work” by leveraging the way our brains are wired. Do not miss out on this opportunity to learn first hand from one of the top UX professionals."

We will follow the usual protocol and kick off the event at 16.30 with some drinks, snacks and networking and then move on to the scheduled program starting at 17.00.  Should be ample time for good discussion during and after.
