About this event

This will be the second Android Aarhus meetup - Xmas edition!

Our featured speaker is Christian Melchior from the Danish startup Realm - a graduate company from the world leading Y Combinator program in Silicon Valley. He will give a presentation titled:

"Painless Persistence in a Disconnected World"

"In a world where users have ever higher expectations from the apps they use, having data always available, even when the device is offline has become increasingly important.

In this talk we will go through different ways of saving data on the phone and introduce Realm as a replacement for SQLite and ORM's.

Through an example app it will be demonstrated that thinking "Offline first" not only affects your apps architecture for the better, but also results in happier users."

We will kick off the event at 16.30 with some drinks, snacks and networking and move on to the scheduled program starting at 17.00.

The event is - as always - open and free for everybody so spread the word and bring your friends - however, please make sure that everybody does register AT LATEST on the night before (Wednesday) so we can plan accordingly :)

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Android Aarhus is organized by: Google Developer Group Aarhus.

This event is hosted by Aarhus University and drinks/snacks will be sponsored by it-forum
