Piotr Prus - Blast Off: Managing Hundreds of UI Updates for Emoji Cannons	Managing a state might be a challenge. Managing the state with hundreds of updates and constant recomposition of floating emojis is a challenge indeed. In this talk, I will share how to build emoji cannon that floods your screen with UI elements, update the state, and does not freeze your UI. All of that with Jetpack Compose :) In addition to covering the technical aspects of building and managing a state, I will also share how to build a responsive UI that takes the user input and animates.
Nastassia Danilava - Fuel for Success: Overcoming rejection after a job interview	Sometimes, setbacks happen. You've experienced job interview rejection. We explore strategies to rebound from the disappointment of rejection, maintain your motivation, and transform rejection into a catalyst for future success. Most importantly, learn how to persevere and never give up.
Piotr Baranowski: WearOS development with Jetpack Compose	In this talk on WearOS, I’ll cover the platform’s recent updates and discuss the key components and surfaces that make up a Wear OS app. We’ll also explore how modern watch apps are leveraging Jetpack Compose for more efficient UI development. We’ll walk through an example WearOS app, highlighting some challenges I encountered creating it. Feel free to bring your laptop to download, run, and experiment with the project. If you own a WearOS smartwatch, it’ll make the workshop even more hands-on 🙂 however, an emulator will work just fine. The goal of this session is to introduce attendees to yet another facet of the Android ecosystem and inspire them to write their very first WearOS app.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the fundamental concepts of Android app development, including: 1. Kotlin Programming: Discover the power of Kotlin, the modern programming language for Android, and how it simplifies Android app development. 2. User Interface (UI) Design: Explore the principles of creating beautiful and intuitive user interfaces using Jetpack compose and Material Design guidelines. 3. Data Storage: Learn how to persist data efficiently even when the app is closed. By the end of this workshop, you'll have the knowledge and skills to start building your own Android apps using the latest development tools and practices. Whether you're a beginner or have some prior experience with Android, this workshop is designed to help you take your Android development skills to the next level. Bogusz Pawłowski - Coroutines - beyond suspend API calls	We often refer to Kotlin Coroutines as ‘light-weight threads’, and we mostly associate them with using ‘suspend’ instead of ‘Single’ and Flow instead of ‘Observable’. But is this all they have to offer? I’m going to explore some of their other characteristics, which can be really useful, but can also lead to some hard to spot side effects and bugs. This will be an intermediate-level talk, but if you have never used Coroutines before, don’t worry, there will be a short introduction as well.

Waleed Arshad - Architecture for Beginners (Deconstructing the black box)	The word Architecture is usually a black box for beginners. People who have started building mobile app projects and have used some state management should ideally move towards structuring and architecting their apps for stability and scalability. This session will deconstruct the word architecture for all the beginner-intermediate level audience who are trying to figure out what architecture is and how to build it iteratively. The session would begin with a sample app which already has some state management implemented with a fake REST API to fetch data (the point to which normally a beginner reaches initially), over which we will iteratively build architecture using dependency injection, entities & models, domain & data layers, etc.
Mateusz Bartkowiak - Introduction to Modern Android Development workshops (Part 2)
Krzysztof Len - Tworzenie aplikacji Flutter z lokalną bazą danych ISAR (Talk in Polish)	W tej prezentacji dowiesz się, jak skutecznie tworzyć aplikacje mobilne za pomocą Fluttera, wykorzystując lokalną bazę danych ISAR. ISAR to narzędzie do zarządzania danymi, które może znacząco usprawnić przechowywanie i dostęp do informacji w aplikacjach Flutter, szczególnie w trybie offline. Prezentacja będzie obejmować następujące kluczowe punkty: Wprowadzenie do Fluttera i ISAR: Krótka prezentacja Fluttera i ISAR database, wyjaśniająca, dlaczego są one popularnymi narzędziami w tworzeniu mobilnych aplikacji. Instalacja i konfiguracja ISAR: Omówienie procesu instalacji i konfiguracji ISAR w projekcie Flutter oraz przykłady ustawień początkowych. Tworzenie lokalnej bazy danych: Pokazanie, jak stworzyć lokalną bazę danych ISAR, definiować modele danych i zdefiniować relacje między nimi. Operacje CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete): Wyjaśnienie, jak wykonywać podstawowe operacje na danych, takie jak dodawanie, odczytywanie, aktualizowanie i usuwanie rekordów w bazie danych ISAR. Zapytania (Query) w ISAR: Szczegółowe omówienie, jak tworzyć zapytania w ISAR, w tym filtrowanie, sortowanie i grupowanie danych, aby uzyskać dokładnie te informacje, których potrzebujesz. Watchers w ISAR: Przedstawienie koncepcji Watchers w ISAR, które pozwalają na monitorowanie zmian w bazie danych i automatyczną reakcję na nie.
