Solar Power and Google's Project Sunroof by Dave Strenski
This presentation will review the basics of solar power, including how it works, how it's attached to a home or business, and the economics of solar power. Dave will also review some of Ypsilanti's current successes including the installation of 800kW in the Highland Cemetery, 50kW on the roof of the local Fire Station (SolarYpsi.org/FireHouseArticle.html), and Ypsi's national GoldSolSmart award (SolarYpsi.org/SolSmartAward.html) from the SolarFoundation - the first and only in Michigan.
Finally the talk will cover how to use Google's Project SunRoof (google.com/get/sunroof) to encourage more and larger solar installations in the City.
