Sorry for delayed response Joshua!
Kotlin has definitely transformed the way I approach Android development. Compared to Java, it allows me to write cleaner, more concise, and more expressive code, which reduces boilerplate and improves readability and one of the biggest advantages for me is null safety. I do find Kotlin more advantageous than Java for modern Android development. It not only boosts productivity but also aligns better with current best practices recommended by Google. That said, having a solid understanding of Java is still valuable, especially when working with legacy codebases.
