Recent UI/UX breakthroughs & trends I have noticed

  • Shift from static UI to design systems

Instead of designing pages or screens independently (dashboard, homepage), design a system or reusable building blocks (buttons, cards, icons, typography scale).

This matters coz it ensures consistency across the entire product and new features won't break the UI harmony. It also reduces design and development time massively

  • AI-assisted prototyping (Figma AI features)

AI is here guys, just face that fact!!! AI is changing UI/UX from manual creation to co-creation.

Creativity is not reduced but it is amplified

  • Motion design becoming a core UX language

It is no longer a matter of "decoration" but rather it is communication. Stuff like loading skeletons instead of spinners, or the micro-interactions make users understand flow naturally. It also prevents confusion during state changes.

  • Accessibility-first design

This makes sure that apps are designed for everyone to use (i.e., visually impaired, color-blind, low-light users etc).

Is your app readable on all backgrounds?
Can one navigate the app without a mouse?
Do you have screen reader support?
Does it meet legal requirements in many countries?

This are my two-cents 😂😂

This is really interesting. Looking forward to learning from and with you through the journey. The two cents are more like $10
