Google DeepMind Hyderabad Hackathon

Selection Process Transparency for Hackathon Participants

Discussion Topic: Selection Process Transparency for Hackathon Participants

The Google DeepMind Hyderabad Hackathon promises an exciting opportunity for developers to showcase their talents and creativity. While the event has clear rules for application and selection, a common question arises: What feedback or information is provided to those who aren't selected?

In the spirit of transparency and community building, we invite you to share your thoughts on the following:

  • How important do you think it is to receive feedback when not selected for an event like this, and why?

  • Have you participated in similar hackathons or events where you weren't selected? What information, if any, did you receive afterward, and how did it impact your future participations?

  • What suggestions can you offer to organizers to improve communication with applicants who aren't selected?

  • Why do you think providing feedback to all applicants might or might not be feasible for organizers?

Your insights can help make future events more inclusive and beneficial for all participants. We look forward to hearing your experiences and ideas!

yes i got a mail telling that my application is rejected

You all are good in your capacity, but to accommodate 1300+ teams is not a joke. We had capacity of 50 teams, still accommodated 78 teams. Don't worry there are more hackathons are planned in the future. Try working on more projects and post about it on your LinkedIn.. Dual benefit 😉
