AI is changing both how I develop Android applications and what I can build into them. I use AI-assisted development alongside Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for implementation, debugging, architecture analysis, and improving development workflows.

I’m also exploring generative AI inside mobile applications, using Firebase and cloud services to connect Android apps with AI-powered features.

One challenge I find particularly interesting is moving from AI-assisted coding to production-ready AI systems—where reliability, security, API cost, user experience, and developer oversight become just as important as generating code.

I’m interested to hear how other developers in the GDG Addis community are approaching this transition, especially those building AI-powered products or agentic workflows.
