My area is prone to flooding. Learning how to navigate around those flooded areas or if you should pull over till the rain stops would help . I noticed this when we had severe rain recently. Although my app was able to show me what areas were affected, it wasn't able to navigate me around it safely without me plotting a course myself which was nearly impossible when driving in such conditions

That is such a critical point, April. Driving in severe weather is stressful enough without having to manually plot an alternate route around active flooding. 🌩️

This highlights a massive gap in current navigation UX: treating weather data as a passive layer on a map instead of an active, dynamic routing constraint. If an app could seamlessly ingest real-time hydrology sensors or crowd-sourced flood reports and treat those zones as immediate roadblocks, it would transform situational safety. It’s the difference between just having information and having a true safety co-pilot.
