Hi GDG Chennai Team, I registered for this event on Wednesday and have been checking my registration status continuously. Initially, it showed that I was on the waitlist, but now it says registration is closed. I would really appreciate it if you could let me know whether there's still any possibility of attending if a seat becomes available. Thank you!
I’m facing the exact same issue here, Keerthana. I registered within 15 minutes of the announcement going live on Wednesday, but my status also automatically shifted out of the queue and now shows closed.
Hopefully, someone from the GDG Chennai organizing team can look into this or let us know if there's any last-minute way to accommodate student developers who applied early!
It’s really discouraging to see public community events reach a hard cutoff so rapidly. If venue space or attendance is heavily restricted to specific groups or internal teams, it would be incredibly helpful if the registration page clarified that upfront. It's tough for external student developers who are highly eager to learn to track these launches so closely only to hit a closed door
