GDG on Campus University of Wisconsin–Green Bay is an official chapter of Google Developer Groups (GDG), created to give UWGB students a structured, collaborative space to learn and build with modern technologies. The chapter focuses on hands-on skill development through workshops, study jams, project nights, speaker sessions, and technical events centered around Google technologies such as Android, Firebase, web development, AI/ML, and Google Cloud. The goal is to help students gain practical, career-ready experience while supporting an inclusive community of learners.
Beyond technical skill-building, this GDG chapter emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and real-world engagement. The organization hosts campus hackathons, multi-day build events, and mentorship programs that connect beginners with experienced student volunteers. It also collaborates with the local tech ecosystem and nearby GDG communities to create networking and internship opportunities. Through outreach efforts—including high-school bootcamps and community workshops—the chapter extends technology education across Northeast Wisconsin.
