Just to clarify - GDG is a volunteer-driven developer community, and we don’t work on commercial or client-based projects. Instead, we focus on initiatives that empower developers and build the ecosystem—like our flagship DevFest Ahmedabad events. In fact, the entire DevFest platform is open-sourced here on GitHub for learning and contribution.

If you're looking to get involved, the best way is to start by attending our monthly meetups. These gatherings are where we plan, brainstorm, and welcome new contributors. You’ll get a better sense of where you’d like to help — be it content, design, logistics, tech setup, speaker curation, or anything else.

Once you’ve attended a couple of events, feel free to raise your hand and join one of the verticals that aligns with your strengths or passion. That’s exactly how most of us began our journeys here 😊
