- Publishing Media At Instagram

When people connect to each other on Instagram, usually they are sending photos and videos. Determining where these media will end up going and in what state they will arrive is a question whose answer is determined not only by the engineers working on various product surfaces within the app, but also by the engineers who work on encoding and delivering video from the client to optimize latency and reliability. In this talk, Bill will talk about how we do this work at Instagram, including our major technical constraints and challenges.
