Developing machine learning technologies in real-world applications continues to challenge many organizations. Additionally, developing skills in this area can be difficult due to limited real-world data and use cases available in academia. One way to address this is by writing smart AI solutions using real-world data and use cases. Picnic, an online supermarket scale-up, is offering a hackathon with real-life data to challenge and help students build up their knowledge in data science, software engineering, and strategy.

In Part 1 of this event, we'll introduce the case and the data. 🧠

In Part 2, we will run a hackathon around payments,fraud and transparency in which data science meets software engineering and strategy! 💻

In Part 3, you will present your results in front of a jury for the chance to win amazing SWAGS! But no worries, we will have surprising gadgets for everyone! .✨

Over the whole day, we will provide snacks anda short lunch break with pizza and drinks. Experts will support you with all of your questions over the day.

After the hackathon, you will have the opportunity to listen to our speakers, chat with them and network with other Google DSC members around a free aperitif (limited spots available, please make sure to also sign-up here, if interested)! 🍸🍕

Competition Details:

Top participants (from 3 to 10, depending on the number of contestants) will win SWAGS. Everything else will be explained at the event!
