Build with AI: Hands-on Evening with Gemini CLI and AI Agents

Join GDG Warsaw for a practical evening of building with AI. This edition features a special guest workshop alongside our hands-on codelab tracks.

This is a hands-on session for developers who want to learn by doing. We are offering two parallel tracks so you can choose the learning path that fits you best!

The Two Tracks

Track 1: Featured Workshop (Main Room)

Title: The name is Agent. AI Agent.

Speaker: Tamas (WebTech GDE & Developer Experience Engineer)

Level: Beginner

The AI agent hype is deafening, but the actual understanding of what an agent is remains quiet. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll build a real agent from scratch using TypeScript, Google’s Agent Development Kit, and Gemini.

• What you'll learn: Move beyond simple chatbots to agents that perceive, decide, and act.

• Patterns: Explore LlmAgent, SequentialAgent for reasoning, and ParallelAgent for fan-out work.

• Outcome: Working code running on Gemini with a clear path to deployment on Cloud Run.

Track 2: Gemini CLI & Codelabs (Collaborative Space)

For those who prefer to focus purely on self-paced learning, we provide a dedicated space for guided codelabs.

• Gemini CLI in Practice: Getting started and real-world usage.

• Developer Workflows: Experimenting with AI-enhanced productivity.

• Automation: Using CLI tools for prompting and automation.

About the Speaker

Tamas is a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies and a Developer Experience Engineer. He has more than a decade of experience delivering technical training to large, prestigious organisations. Recently moved to Europe from APAC, he is passionate about unlocking the latest and greatest features of web development.

• Laptop (Required): You must bring your own machine to participate.

• Charger (Recommended): Ensure you have power for the duration of the event.

We are providing Google Cloud credits for attendees. Activation details will be shared on-site during the 6:30 pm introduction.
