2. help developers feel more confident, prepared, and excited to participate to build for our local challenges.

About Build with AI: Code for Communities hackathon

Build with AI: Code for Communities is a hackathon where every problem statement was submitted by a sitting Member of Parliament. Developers pick one of four tracks, build a working AI solution for a real governance gap, and the strongest solutions don't just win prizes — they get piloted in real constituencies, PHCs, and districts, with a clear path to wider rollout.

The Four Tracks

 🏥  Smart Health — Healthcare

Real-time AI management of PHC/CHC medicine stock, patient footfall, bed availability, and doctor attendance.

 🌿  CleanAir & Clear Streets — Environment

Neighbourhood-level pollution map with 24-hour air quality spike predictions and automatic municipal alerts.

🌾  Kisan Alert — Agriculture

Voice-and-SMS crop advisory platform in Indic languages with AI-powered crop recommendations and disease diagnosis.

 🏛️  People's Priorities — Constituency Planning

Multilingual AI platform that turns citizen submissions into ranked, evidence-based development priorities for MPs.

Top solutions will be piloted in real constituencies, PHCs, and districts in partnership with the MP's office. If the pilot works, it scales.

• Every problem statement was submitted directly by a Member of Parliament.

• Four tracks: healthcare, environment, agriculture, constituency planning.

• Shortlisted teams pitch in person in New Delhi directly to the MPs whose problems they worked on.

• Google Developer Experts host in-person meetups in select cities to help teams refine their solutions.

• Google Cloud credits for top teams. Cash pool prize of INR 10 lakhs.

• Open to all Indian developers - students, early-career, and experienced professionals.
