"Think the City of Lakes is just about sunset views and royal palaces? Think again! Two days, pure in-person builder grit, and endless fuel for your brain from sunrise to starlight. Conquer the Aravallis with your logic, let your commits make waves, and claim your place on the road to DevFest Udaipur!"
Nestled in the heart of Rajasthan against the timeless backdrop of the Aravalli hills, the Aravalli Build Championship: Road To DevFest Udaipur is a premier 2-day in-person hackathon bringing together visionary developers, designers, and innovators to build working prototypes. Renowned globally as the City of Lakes, Udaipur is rapidly emerging as a dynamic regional tech hub where heritage meets modern innovation. Serving as the official launchpad to DevFest Udaipur, this hackathon harnesses the city’s thriving developer energy, providing an immersive space to transform bold ideas into viable prototypes. Grounded in community-driven learning and inclusivity, the championship empowers talent to showcase technical depth, gain ecosystem visibility, and compete for standout prizes and recognization.
The themes, problem statements, and ideas listed below are meant to spark your imagination and serve as initial launchpads. You are fully empowered to identify, frame, and build your own unique problem statement within the broad umbrella of each domain!
Domain 1. Heritage, Tourism & Sustainable Hospitality
Udaipur draws millions of travelers with its regal architecture, living history, and hospitality culture, yet rapid tourism strains local resources. This track invites builders to create solutions that deepen visitor engagement—from interactive storytelling and artisan discoverability to eco-conscious hospitality operations, farm-to-table sourcing, and smart crowd management across historic routes.
The ideas above are just hints—feel free to uncover and tackle any unique challenge that elevates cultural heritage and sustainable tourism.
Domain 2. FinTech
From empowering local micro-merchants and regional MSMEs to building next-generation personal finance engines, financial technology drives genuine economic resilience. This track focuses on reimagining digital credit, fraud detection, accessible vernacular banking, seamless cross-border or tourism payments, and decentralized finance primitives.
Consider these starter thought - you have full freedom to define any challenge in lending, wealth-tech, digital inclusion, or financial infrastructure.
Domain 3. Smart Healthcare & Emergency Access
Quality healthcare hinges on speed, geographic reach, early detection, and targeted disease management. This track focuses on closing critical care and delivery gaps—whether it’s triaging patients in remote settlements, building diagnostic tools for specific conditions (such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer screening, or rare disorders), optimizing golden-hour emergency dispatch through complex terrain, or streamlining hospital workflows and vernacular patient monitoring.
These scenarios are guiding beacons—you are encouraged to isolate and solve any pressing issue across disease detection, specialized therapeutic support, preventive care, diagnostic triage, or emergency logistics.
Domain 4. Agri-Tech & Natural Resource Conservation
Southern Rajasthan’s fragile ecosystem unites smallholder farmland, vital lake catchments, and the ancient Aravalli mountain corridors. This track challenges teams to engineer tools for precision agriculture, soil restoration, and fair market access, as well as scalable solutions for lake water monitoring, watershed defense, and mountain conservation.
These directions are starting points—identify and solve any pain point where smart technology can protect natural resources, empower rural livelihoods, or preserve ecological balance.
Domain 5. Open Innovation
Too cool for a box? Code too unhinged for conventional categories? Welcome to the ultimate rule-breaker playground! If your idea doesn’t fit into our neat little buckets, this is where you unleash it. Whether you’re cooking up autonomous AI agents that run your digital life, breaking the internet with Web3 primitives, hacking hardware with IoT wizardry, or building that one brilliant tool developers didn't even know they desperately needed—if it’s wild, high-impact, and dripping with technical grit, bring it on. No guardrails, zero domain restrictions. Just pure, unadulterated builder energy and your thirst to break things, fix them, and make minds explode on demo day.
These ideas aren’t limits—they’re not even guidelines! If you can dream it, architect it, and compile it before the countdown hits zero, this stage is entirely yours.
