GDG Tulsa will host an AI session on May 31 built specifically for students, recent grads, and early-career builders stepping into the Google AI ecosystem for the first time.

The session is intentionally beginner-friendly — no prior AI experience required, no production-grade engineering knowledge assumed — and is designed to give first-time builders a working tour of the Google stack they'll actually use as they start their careers.

We cover the essentials end-to-end: Gemini as the model layer, AI Studio as the fastest way to prototype, Firebase for auth and storage, and Google Cloud Run for deploying your first AI-powered service. Each section pairs a short walkthrough with hands-on setup so attendees leave with working accounts, not just slides.

We close with a short live build — a small AI-powered web app, deployed by the end of the session — and an open networking round connecting students with local builders, organizers, and the regional GDG and GDGoC community. Topics intentionally cover the campaign objectives the GDG program is prioritizing this year: building with AI, context engineering basics, and the agentic workflows shaping what early-career engineers are expected to know.

Attendees leave with: working developer accounts on the Google stack, a deployed starter project, a clear roadmap of what to learn next, and direct connections to the regional GDG ecosystem.
