Digital forms are already highly complex by themselves. Making sure they are accessibility friendly just pushes the challenge to another level. There are various things to consider, such as, handling status messages, error messages, instructions, help information, toggling password visibility, etc…

For this session, we have invited one of Toronto’s top web accessibility specialists, David Fourney to be our speaker on web forms. He has decades of experience in working with digital accessibility. He also contributes to accessibility standards like WCAG. David will be sharing with us strategies on making web forms accessibility friendly. About the speaker:

David Fourney, PhD., CPWA, is a Digital Accessibility Consultant based in Toronto with extensive experience inclusive software design and web development. His research interests span computer science, ergonomics, and industrial engineering. For almost 20 years, Dr. Fourney has been involved in the development of international standards in accessibility, human factors / ergonomics, and user interfaces through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). He has a strong passion for the field of accessibility that stems from his own experiences as a neurodiverse hard of hearing person as well as his efforts towards raising awareness and advocating for the needs of consumers with disabilities.
