About the speaker — Monika Bhatt

Monika is currently a Senior Technical Writer and has over a decade of experience in technical writing/content design. Previously, she worked at Canva, Transport for NSW, and the NSW Department of Customer Service. She is passionate about making complex tech simple and holds a Master's in Information Technology and a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Talk 2: Teaching the Android System How to Use Your App

As Android transitions from a touch-first to an AI-first ecosystem, the way users interact with your app is fundamentally changing. Users no longer want to hunt through menus; they want tasks completed via voice, predictive suggestions, and system-level intelligence.

In this technical deep dive, we explore the App Functions API, the new standard for exposing your app’s core logic to the Android system and Gemini.

About the speaker — Cédric FERRY
Cedric started Android Development in 2007 with first android beta. His passion for the little green robot took him around the world, where he has been working for leading companies in Financial Industry in Australia and big tech, including Google.
