This year for International Women’s Day, our theme celebrates all kinds of progress - big or small - and the strength we demonstrate when we don’t let fear hold us back from following our dreams.
Our paths aren’t always linear, and we may come across seemingly impossible challenges, but when we celebrate #ProgressNotPerfection, we are celebrating all we’ve accomplished - big and small - and our inner strength and resilience that allowed us to get here.
This year, we have got 3 talks from 4 different speakers who come from various different exciting, inspiring, and awesome backgrounds to tell their story in the industry and celebrate #ProgressNotPerfection:
Aliya Rysbek is a Software Engineer at Google DeepMind, and obtained MSc in Hungary, BSc in Turkey, and is originally from Kyrgyzstan.
Dr. Jo Grundy is a Research Fellow in ‘Machine Learning on Advanced Sensor Array Data’ at the University of Southampton.
Ellica McGregor is a BSc MORSE student and is the founder of ‘LittleFriday’. Grace Lam is an MEng Mechanical Engineering student and is the co-founder of ‘AMRSS’. Both are studying at the University of Southampton and are part of the 2022 Future Worlds Founders Cohort.
If you can't attend the session in person, use the Virtual RSVP and fill this Microsoft Teams form to join us virtually!
A recording of the session will be made available for those with Virtual RSVP if they can't join us live.
This is a great opportunity to connect with other developers in the local community, and learn more about each other in the developer community!
Food, coffee and soft drinks will be available at the venue. Google Goodies will be provided as well!
