The noise around AI agents is overwhelming, yet genuine clarity on what an agent actually is stays surprisingly rare. Plenty of teams claim to ship agents, but most are little more than a single prompt dressed up in a loop. In this practical session, we'll strip away the buzz and assemble a working agent piece by piece with TypeScript, Google's Agent Development Kit, and Gemini, constructing the various agentic loops that distinguishes a true agent from a dressed-up chatbot.
Step past basic conversational bots towards systems that observe, reason, and take action, while grasping the design that keeps that cycle dependable instead of a run of fortunate guesses.
Patterns: Get hands-on with various agentic workflows and loops
The outcome is functional code executing on Gemini, together with a straightforward route to shipping it on Cloud Run so what you build survives beyond the room.
