We are really excited to invite you to our first web development event of the year and are delighted to welcome Ioanna Lampropoulou and Lucy E Wright as our speakers.

Ioanna Lampropoulou
Ioanna is a senior Software Engineer at Sea/. Ioanna is keen on exploring new technologies, defining best practices and providing insightful solutions. She moved from writing COBOL and RPG for core banking systems to JavaScript and React in the shipping sector.

Ioanna will talk to us about what is currently trending in the mobile app world and why React Native has become so popular. Ioanna will do a workshop on how to build a mobile app using React Native using best practices. She will point out common pitfalls as well as show us how to build the backend with zero lines of code and use GraphQL for querying data. Please bring your laptop to follow along with the workshop.

Lucy E Wright
Lucy is a Fullstack Javascript Developer at GoSweat. Lucy graduated from Founders & Coders and will talk to us about her journey of starting to learn to code from scratch to getting her first job in 6 months. She will also talk to us about the values of pair programming. Lucy is happy to answer questions regarding her journey in a Q&A session.
