Patchwork nights are GitHub hosted community events that are hands-on, learn-by-doing events with the goal of getting people GitHubbing. No coding experience is necessary to attend, and the goal is to help users gain their first green square on their contributions graph.
Casual, mentored workshops for beginners to Git and GitHub.
Hosted free by GitHub.
These events give us a chance to interact with the community when a group of Hubbers are together in a city.
The Patchwork Basics:
This is a hands-on event, but we do have slots for 2 small lightning talks, 10-20 minutes in length. The first talk will be from a GitHubber, and the second talk will be from a community member that will be at the event. The community member does not need to be a mentor.
