Drawing on examples from Google and industry leaders, this session will cover the impact of AI on software engineering, developer productivity, engineering roles, reskilling, security, oversight and the future of human + agent teams.

Workshop: The Self-Curation Engine — Gemini + Cloud Run

Retail data often arrives from different sources with inconsistent schemas. In this workshop, Anupam will present a serverless Cloud Run agent that uses the Gemini API to automate schema mapping.

Triggered by new data, the agent compares raw schemas to a BigQuery target and dynamically generates the required SQL or Dataform transformations. This workshop highlights how AI can automate some of the most manual parts of data engineering, including schema maintenance and transformation logic generation.
